In the era of rapid technological evolution and widespread web use, cyber security has become an important skill and
knowledge. On April 30, 2025 , Homeland Security and Investigations, a premier federal law enforcement agency of the USA pioneered a project ‘I Guardian’, in
collaboration with CyberPeace Corps, at Amrita Vidyalayam, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi. This non-profit organization focused on providing technology solutions to
enhance and innovate child safety.
The project i Guardian® focused on keeping children and teens safe from online predators through awareness. It was
an outreach effort to navigate the dangers of the outlandish realms of the web world, while maintaining cyber safety.
In addition, the i Guardian team mentored senior students of grade XI and XII to stay safe online by providing safety
tips like keeping their social media accounts private, limiting their screen time, and using AI in a mindful manner. A savvy duo of HSI special agents and Ex Lieutenant Seema from the Indian Navy educated the young minds on the repercussions of online CSEA (Child
Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), preventive measures for future crimes, and empowerment of the users to report
suspected abuse.
The presentations delivered by HSI special agent Mr. Earl Mattear and subject matter expert Ms. Pooja Kinger highlighted that “If you see something, say something”.
This audience-specific information motivated the students to join the fight against online (CSEA), making them
digitally resilient. The students were equipped with the required knowledge of digital threats and legal implications to deal with the perpetrators.
