Amrita Vidyalayam, New Delhi, celebrated Amrita Varsham 72, the *72nd birthday of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi* (Amma), with deep devotion, enthusiasm, and a spirit of service.

The day began with a *soulful Pooja and Aarti, performed by the students and staff members.* All teaching and non-teaching staff, along with the school guards and support staff, joined together in the morning prayers, creating an atmosphere of unity, harmony, and divine grace.

As part of the celebrations, the school organized *a Blood Donation Camp and an Eye Check-up Camp, conducted by a dedicated team of* *doctors and technicians from Amrita Hospital, Faridabad.** Their compassionate service and expertise enabled many to benefit from timely care and medical awareness.

Students also made a heartfelt contribution by *donating essential items for an old-age home.* A group of Student Council members personally visited the home, where they handed over the donations, performed music, and played interactive games with the elderly residents. The joy and blessings exchanged during this visit filled the occasion with love and compassion.

Back in the school, a *Shramdaan activity was conducted, where around 30 Student Council members assisted the canteen staff in preparing food. They later served the meals to the didis, bhaiyas, and guards of the school, acknowledging and honoring their dedicated service with gratitude.

The primary students too actively participated by taking up a cleanliness drive within the school campus. With great enthusiasm, they cleaned their surroundings and spread awareness about maintaining hygiene, reflecting Amma’s teaching of respect and responsibility towards the environment.*

Meanwhile, the younger students of the school also celebrated the occasion by planting saplings in Amma’s name, dedicating the greenery as a symbol of love for nature and commitment towards a sustainable future.

The celebrations beautifully embodied Amma’s message of selfless service, compassion, and togetherness. The entire day inspired students, staff, and community members to imbibe these values in their lives and to spread love and harmony around them.
