The echoes of devotion, harmony, and musical brilliance resonated through **Amrita Vidyalayam, New Delhi**, as the school proudly hosted the **District Level Qawali Competition 2026–27** on **Wednesday, 15th July 2026**, welcoming participating schools from **Zones 23 and 24** for an inspiring celebration of India's rich musical heritage.
The programme commenced with a traditional welcome, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, and a soulful invocation, seeking the blessings of the Almighty. **Principal Br. Samapika ,Vice Principal Ms. Vijay Laxmi Anandan**and *Ms Mallika Bhattacharjee Foundation and Activity Coordinator* extended a warm welcome to the distinguished jury comprising **Ustad Tanveer Ahmed Khan**, the celebrated Vocal Maestro of the Delhi Gharana; **Mr. Kokab Rashid**, an eminent Hindustani Classical Vocalist of the renowned Delhi Gharana; and **Mr. Pranshu Chatur Lal**, a musical prodigy acclaimed for his extraordinary artistry. Their presence elevated the grandeur of the occasion.
The competition showcased exceptional talent, with **six schools competing in the Boys' Category** and **five schools in the Girls' Category**. Each performance captivated the audience with its soulful melodies, flawless coordination, and heartfelt expression, beautifully reflecting the spirit of unity, devotion, and cultural excellence.
More than a competition, the event was a celebration of tradition, teamwork, and artistic expression, reaffirming **Amrita Vidyalayam's** commitment to preserving India's rich cultural legacy while nurturing young talent with excellence and values.
